TUG Driver

What's The Role:

We're seeking an experienced TUG Driver to join our team. It is an exciting opportunity to join our industry leading transportation company and play a key role in assisting hundreds of Australian businesses to meet their transport needs.

This is a Fulltime position with a Sunday to Thursday roster, 6am starts.

Lindsay Transport is Australia’s largest fresh produce transporter, delivering temperature-sensitive freight to major markets and grocery distribution centres. We’re part of the Lindsay Group, a national leader in transport and logistics, connecting regional communities with key markets across Australia.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Safe Always – Demonstrating safe work practices, leading by example and promoting a safe work culture.
• Vehicle and Yard Operations - Driving the Tug around the depot to hook and unhook trailers; Reversing B-Doubles and Singles; Conducting necessary yard checks; Refuelling fridge motors.
• Driver and Yard Coordination - Coordinating drivers within the yard; Communicating effectively via 2-way radio.
• Documentation and Compliance - Conducting necessary paperwork as required.

What You'll Bring:

• Current and valid driver licence to perform the above-mentioned role.
• Previous Commercial Driving Experience detailed in your resume.
• Current BFM, preferred by not essential.
• A safe driving record, you will be required to provide a copy of your driving history.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Strong customer focus with good communication skills.
• Well presented, professional and reliable.
